UN S/Res/2127 (5 Dec 2013) - arms & related material unless intended solely for peacekeeping forces or defence against poaching. S/Res/2134 imposes an asset freeze & travel ban for individuals designated by the committee and also authorises Member States to seize, register and dispose of prohibited items listed. S/Res/2399 (2018) Extends all measures to 31 January 2019. S/Res/2454 (2019) extended all measures until 31 January 2020. Sanctions under S/Res/2454 were renewed and modified until 31 January 2020 by adopting Resolution 2488 (2019)On the 31 Jan 2020 arms embargo restrictions were renewed until 31 July 2020 under S/Res/2507 (2020)All restrictive measures were extended until 31 July 2021 under S/Res/2536 (2020)The UN reaffirmed both its financial and arms embargo regimes until 31 July 2022 under S/Res/2588

US EO 13667 Blocking property and interests in property for those persons contributing to the conflict in Central African Republic. OFAC Issued Regulations to Implement EO13667 on 7 Jul 2014. Restrictive measures under EO 13667 extended until 12 May 2020 and again until 12 May 2022.2SDN list updated periodically. The US extended the national emergency as declared in E.O.13413, as amended by E.O. 13671, to continue sanctions  and asset freezing measures for another 1 year until 27 Oct 2020. The US renewed its restrictive measure under national emergency declared in Executive Order 13667 until 12th May 2023.
EU Arms & related material including related (re)insurance effective 23 Dec 2013. EU 224/2014 (10 Mar 2014) asset freeze for designated individuals/entities. Regulation (EU) 2016/555 and Council Decision (CFSP) 2016/564 amends the current measures slightly in relation to the criteria for SDN designation. The EU/UK sanctions do not at present include a travel ban). Council Decision (CFSP) 2017/412 implements UN resolutions S/Res/2339 (2017). Council Decision (CFSP) 2018/391 implements UN resolution S/Res/2399 (2018). On the 18 Oct 2021 the EU amended its criteria list to include the involvement of “planning, directing, sponsoring or committing acts in the CAR that violate international humanitarian law, including attacks against medical personnel or humanitarian personnel” under 2021/1819 and 2021/1823SDN list updated periodically. 
 The Central African Republic (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020 incorporates EU sanctions into UK law wef: 31 Dec 2020.
