The IUA is pleased to launch the first episode of 'The Feedback Loop', a new series of video interviews bringing together underwriting and claims representatives. Throughout the series, Tom Hughes (IUA Director of Underwriting) and Joe Shaw (IUA Director of Claims) will speak with representatives from the IUA’s Underwriting and Claims committees to understand the big issues facing the insurance market.
In this first episode we welcome Meghan Walker, IUA Aviation Technical Committee Deputy Chair (Divisional Director – Marine and Aviation, Liberty Specialty Markets) and IUA Aviation Claims Committee Chair James Sutherland (Claims Manager – Transportation & MEPC at HDI Global Specialty SE) to discuss the challenges that aviation teams are responding to, the key workstreams within the two Committees, and the efforts being undertaken to support emerging talent. The talk also highlights the importance of interaction between underwriting and claims personnel.
