The London insurance market has a rich heritage tracing back to the 1600’s and, in the centuries hence, the market has evolved to become the largest global hub for commercial and specialty insurance, in almost every territory around the world.

Today, the London Market Group, (LMG) speaks collectively for market practitioners on growth and modernisation issues with an aim to build and retain London’s position and reputation as the worldwide centre of insurance excellence.

Supported by the International Underwriting Association of London (IUA), Lloyd’s of London, the Lloyd’s Market Association (LMA) and the London & International Insurance Brokers’ Association (LIIBA), the London Market Group have the unique position to represent the whole of the London insurance market.  LMG can take action on the matters that affect the market, where a single voice or campaign is most effective.

At this market briefing, our guest speakers will highlight the role of the LMG in promoting London’s unique positioning, to help build a platform for future growth and success, and to protect and enhance London’s reputation.

In addition, particular focus on how the LMG is steering the market to attract future talent to a speciality and commercial insurance vocation,  an update on their campaigns and how they are approaching key audiences with whom they wish to communicate: government, brokers and customers will also be discussed.

Attendees at this event will not only discover how the LMG are pivotal to our industry, but also uncover how curating knowledge and intelligence from in, and outside the market, can stimulate debate around common problems and collective solutions.
