We are pleased to announce details of the 2023 Professional Indemnity Form (PIF) Test, an introductory level course and examination designed for Professional Indemnity (PI) practitioners to improve their working knowledge of the class of business.
Since its inception in 2016 several hundred practitioners from the underwriting, claims, broking, MGA and legal sectors have undertaken the PIF Test. The PIF Test study text used by candidates outlines the key aspects of the main professional indemnity classes of business, how to understand policy provisions and key legal concepts affecting the market. It also includes a more in-depth analysis of specific professions and a section on the underwriting and risk management process.
We have now finalised the Study Text for the 2023 PIF Test. We utilise an online examination platform and expect to put on several runs of the Test through the year with the first sitting of the exam in June 2023 (specific date to be confirmed).
Available via the hyperlinks above are a flyer for PIF Test, which includes the course syllabus, and an application form to take the Test. We would be grateful if members could circulate these to interested colleagues and market peers.
