Technical Training
California Fair Claims Handling
The
California Department of Insurance requires that anyone involved in handling, adjusting, or settling claims on Californian risks must receive annual training on the state’s Fair Claims Practices regulations.
A 90 minute briefing session is hosted by the IUA twice a year to provide the training. All aspects of the regulations are covered and there are opportunities to ask questions of our expert speaker. Certification is provided to evidence an individual's attendance.
Details of the next training session will appear in the market briefing diary on this page.
