A new resource to standardise the way in which underwriters ask insureds about their sustainability data has been published by the IUA together with the Lloyd’s Market Association (LMA).
The Sustainability Data Standard is a set of 22 questions designed to introduce a standard form for insureds to complete when disclosing any sustainability data as part of the underwriting process. Available via the download links above are a research report and template questionnaire.
Its intention is to simplify the insured’s process by developing a set of sustainability points and standardising the form in which insurers request this data. This should streamline the often lengthy task for insureds of providing sustainability data to their insurers.
The resource has been compiled by a joint working group of IUA, LMA and broker representatives. Company market input was provided by members of the IUA Sustainability Committee.
